Baby Teething? | by
Don’t despair, chew on this:
• Gum massage: Use a clean finger and rub baby’s gums
• A teething ring: Try one made of firm rubber; avoid the liquid-filled variety
• Keep it cool: Chill a wet washcloth (If baby’s eating solid foods, offer cold items, such as a frozen waffle or applesauce)
• Try an over-the-counter remedy: Acetaminophen or ibuprofen help (Avoid teething medications that are rubbed directly on a baby’s gums—too much may interfere with baby’s normal gag reflex)
